About Cainhoy Children's Academy

Cainhoy Children’s Academy offers premium childcare and early education services for youth between the ages of six weeks and five years. Locally owned and operated, the academy is located near the Cainhoy and Daniel Island communities, within three miles of Interstate 526 and the Philip Simmons schools.

The Academy features a relevant curriculum designed to nurture children’s curiosity, creativity, and interests. By making full use of the natural environment and state‑of‑the‑art facilities here on Clements Ferry Road, we provide a well-rounded developmental experience for the children in our care. Families may choose from full-time  care options.

Dr. Shannon Brooks
Dr. Shannon Brooks Executive Director
Dr. Brooks has bachelor's in early childhood education from The University of Michigan. She two Master’s, one from Michigan and one from College of Edenborough in Scotland. Dr. Brooks also holds a PhD in Business Ethics from The University of Michigan. Dr. Brooks has over 25 years of experience in preschool administration and education. She is a Georgia native and is enjoying the low country Charleston life.
Victoria De La Cruz
Victoria De La Cruz Curriculum Coordinator
Tori has a great love for children which shows in her 20 plus years of dedication to the youth of Charleston and Berkeley counties. Tori was a preschool teacher for 15 plus years and was a founding member of Cainhoy Children’s Academy. Tori attended college and sought her associate degree in early childhood education. She was promoted to assistant director and quickly rose to Curriculum Coordinator. Tori is a loving wife and mother to two.
Jonathon Snow
Jonathon Snow Chef
Jonathon is a Charleston native and graduated from Claflin University with a degree in Human Performance and Recreation. Jonathon works with the city of Charleston Recreation department running their flag football and baseball clinics. Jonathon has worked with the youth of Charleston since he as 22. He wears many hats at CCA and one of his many titles is Head of Special programs. Jonathon is in charge of, PE, Spanish, Science, and Yoga.
